The National Library and Information Services (NLIS Bahamas) encourages all staff to fulfil their educational goals and aspirations and Lifelong Learning

It is empowering and a personal initiative of every staff to know his or her organization well and its patron/customer/client/user that he or she serves. In addition, each staff should be familiar with the Library system’s mission/vision/values website www.nlis.bs library rules and regulations/General Orders and Employment Acts, library associations locally and abroad. Basic and advanced library Courses with free or non-fee and fee-based programmes and degrees online and those that are in physical locations at universities and colleges.
