National Library and Information Services Receive Database Training
On Monday, November 7th, 2022 Public Library Staff received training at National Library and Information Services NLIS Bahamas HQ conducted by Donna Daley, and Alfredo Rivera Caribbean Representative of EBSCO Company USA. During the training they highlighted the latest features of subscribed Research databases, namely EBSCOHOST EXPLORA along with its companion database, Learning Express Library. These are available to librarians, teachers, students and the general public.
These powerful search tools can be accessed via www.nlis.bs by students and adults for accurate searches for schoolwork and research projects for the national examinations. All in the education sector should take advantage of the databases that comprise not only general information but also specific subjects in Math, Language Arts and other subjects for Primary, Junior, and Senior students and a Bahamian and Caribbean component of a large array of research materials.
